The Project.

Covergirl was interested in driving traffic to their site using viral video methods. Initially the concept was a syndicated sitcom that integrated makeup application tips into the plot. This was tossed aside in favor of two shoots: the tips, and a gossip show as a vehicle for the tips named Blabbermouth TV. I was hired as Director of Photography for both shoots.

The Details.

The tips were shot in a day, with a prep day at a fixed location. We used a Sony HVRZ1U on a small crane, without sound.

 

 

Blabbermouth TV was a 4-camera shoot, done in the style of the show, "The View". I ended up operating 3 cameras while an assistant operated the fourth. We shot two episodes a day, for a total of 8 episodes. The tips ended up being featured on the CoverGirl homepage.
